Our democracy works best when all citizens participate. Voting by mail gives Pennsylvanians an option that works for any schedule or life situation. We want to strengthen the vote-by-mail process through initiatives that do the following:

  1. Extend the pre-canvass process along with implementation of a better notification process for voters (i.e., notification for curing [fixing and returning] ballots; notifying voters with imperfect ballots; and providing a vote-by-mail app rejection process).

  2. Push for mail-in ballots to be counted if they are postmarked by Election Day but arrive at the county election office up to three days after Election Day.

  3. Allow the “National Change of Address Form” to serve as an update for voter registration and vote by mail. When a person moves, they submit a change of address form to the post office, which updates their address in the National Change of Address database and mail is able to be forwarded to the correct address once the individual has moved. Streamlining this process with voter registration and vote by mail would ensure records are up to date and make our elections more secure.

  4. Allow mail-in ballots to be dropped off at the polls.

  5. Mail vote-by-mail applications to all registered voters for every election.

  6. Ensure there are satellite election offices and drop boxes in every county.
